Welcome to Rosemary's Office

   Respectful Psychotherapy Fully Individualized
Join us in welcoming Becky Morehead, MA,  LMHC to our
offices!  She is a wonderful addition to Lake Washington
Counseling Center and brings life and energy to our practice.

Becky practices  in our offices Monday through Thursday.

She specializes in treating:

Trauma: Sexual, physical and emotional abuse, PTSD, war, crime
victims

Relationships: Divorce, victims of domestic violence, family therapy,
parenting, blended families

Life Transitions: Women's issues, adolescent grief & loss/transitions -
moving, school changes, step-parents, death & dying, chronic illness,
depression, mood disorders, phobias, anxiety

Her work is client-centered and interactive.
She provides feedback and support by offering
alternative ideas and approaches to address
life issues. She uses your past successes and
personal strengths to create a strong internal
foundation. Where there are childhood traumatic
issues, such as neglect or abuse, this foundation
will allow the processing and release of the traumas.

Her treatment approach is holistic and she utilizes a variety of
techniques such as systems theory, cognitive-behavioral, somatic
work, family-of-origin, Lifespan Integration, EMDR, and spiritual work.
Her experience has been in-patient psychiatric hospital working with
adolescent trauma. She contracted with DSHS Family Reconciliation
for families with difficult teenagers. She led adult grief groups for
Group Health Hospice. She also provided psychotherapy in
out-patient mental health facilities and now is exclusively in private
practice. She has worked extensively and specialize in adolescent
parental loss and trauma, adult trauma and profound neglect

My new book was
published in March of
2009 and is available at

Amazon.com

This book is written
primarily for scholars
and clinicians as the
text is written in "thick"
academic prose.

However, those
motivated readers who
want to learn about
disorganized
attachment  and have
some background in
psychology or research
might also find it useful.
